This is another favorite Betty Crocker recipe. If you are a mushroom lover then you will LOVE this Pasta with Mushroom Sauce recipe! My husband made the comment that who needs to go to an Italian Restaurant when you can make this. He couldn’t stop raving about how good this was. This can be used as a side dish, but let me tell you this recipe stands on it’s own as a main dish! Add a salad and some bread sticks and you’ve got a meal that will keep you coming back for more!

Pasta w/ Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients
- 8 oz fettucine
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 1 medium sweet onion, thinly sliced, separated into rings
- 16 oz. fresh sliced mushrooms
- 2 teaspoons sage
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1½ cups whipping cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Cook and drain pasta as directed on package. Cover to keep warm.
- In a 12 inch nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Cook onion in butter 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally until soft and golden.
- Add mushrooms, sage, and thyme, cook until mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in whipping cream, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Heat through till cheese melts.
- Pour sauce over cooked pasta, toss gently to coat.
- Enjoy!
