Pasta w/ Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients
  • 8 oz fettucine
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium sweet onion, thinly sliced, separated into rings
  • 16 oz. fresh sliced mushrooms
  • 2 teaspoons sage
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1½ cups whipping cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
Instructions
  1. Cook and drain pasta as directed on package. Cover to keep warm.
  2. In a 12 inch nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Cook onion in butter 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally until soft and golden.
  4. Add mushrooms, sage, and thyme, cook until mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in whipping cream, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Heat through till cheese melts.
  6. Pour sauce over cooked pasta, toss gently to coat.
  7. Enjoy!
