My husband and I were out to eat the other day and I was brainstorming ideas for yummy appetizers to have at a Superbowl Sunday party when this brilliant idea popped into my head. Chicken Cordon Bleu Bites!
Well, at least I thought it was brilliant at the time, and if I must say so myself, I think this chicken cordon bleu appetizer turned out pretty darn delicious.
Can’t Stop Eating These Chicken Cordon Bleu Bites!
I made a bunch of appetizers the other night and invited my best friend and her husband over as taste testers. These Chicken Cordon Bleu Bites were included among the appetizers, and my best friend was so in love with them that she ended up hoarding them all for herself and telling her husband they were gross so he wouldn’t partake of the goods.
I think it is a bit of an understatement to say that she loved them. 🙂
A Cordon Bleu Appetizer We Can All Agree On
These Chicken Cordon Bleu Bites would make the perfect appetizer for a New years or Super Bowl party, or even could be served up as part of dinner. I know my chicken nugget loving kids would be thrilled if these cordon bleu bites were on the menu.

Try Making This Chicken Cordon Bleu Bites Recipe Today!
- 8 frozen chicken nuggets ( precooked)
- 1 package Pillsbury Buttermilk Crescent dough ( 8 oz)
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 4-6 slices of Deli Ham
- Dipping sauce ingredients
- ½ c Honey Mustard (condiment)
- ½ c Honey Mustard Salad dressing
- ¼ c Mayonnaise
- First preheat your oven to 375 degrees and lightly grease a large cookie sheet.
- Cut each chicken nugget in half. Make sure they are thawed (warm them up in the microwave if needed).
- Cut each slice of Swiss cheese into 4 squares and cut your deli ham into diced pieces.
- Roll out your crescent rolls. You should have 8 triangles, Separate them and cut each triangle in half so that you have 16 triangles now.
- Place a square of Swiss on each triangle, then place some diced ham and a half chicken nugget on each crescent triangle.
- Cover with another square of Swiss (to make them really cheesy!).
- Roll up the crescent starting from the big end of the triangle going to the narrow end.
- Place each crescent onto your lightly greased cookie sheet about an inch or two apart.
- Cook for about 10-15 minutes until crescents are golden brown on top.
- Mix up the ingredients of your dipping sauce in a bowl and serve as an appetizer or fun meal for kids.

This is a great idea. I think I’m going to make them but use fresh breaded chicken instead of the nuggets. Question for you….when you say Pillsbury Buttermilk Crescent dough, do you mean the biscuits? Thanks!
