Whenever I go to the Spaghetti Factory, on top of enjoying a good chicken parm or fettucini alfredo, I absolutely love their creamy basil salad dressing. I’m not quite sure why salad at Italian restaurants is always so yummy, but they seem to just have the whole salad thing down.
A Delicious Copy-Cat Version of Basil Dressing
This is a sort of copy cat version of that basil dressing recipe. The copy cat versions I have seen before use oil in it, but I have found that I like my creamy basil dressing without the extra oil. Once the salad dressing ingredients have been mixed together well and put in the refrigerator for an hour, the consistency is perfectly how I like it on a salad.
Creamy Basil Dressing for Every Dipping Occasion
In our extended family gatherings, we’ve made a tradition of putting appetizers out on the table about an hour before the meal starts. Not only is it great for getting family members together to socialize, but it’s also the time we get to all indulge our addictions to the many wonderful dips we create. While creamy basil dressing may seem like it should only be used as a salad dressing, we use it for much more than that!
My family loves this Creamy Basil Dressing recipe and it’s great for dipping veggies among many other things. So whether you use this creamy basil dressing for salad and substitute it for your creamy Romano dressing, or find something yummy to dip it in, you can’t go wrong!
While this dressing will go amazing on pretty much any salad, we do have some salads for you to try it out on. That way you can try two amazing salad recipes at the same time! For a great salad recipe to use this yummy basil dressing recipe on, try out our nuts and berry spinach salad!
