I don’t know about you, but sometimes I have a hard time fitting all my vegetable servings in in a day. Well at least I used to, until I came across this Blueberry Vanilla Protein Shake recipe. This Blueberry Vanilla Protein Shake has a secret ingredient added that you would never guess is there just by tasting it. I’ll give you a hint though. It’s green and leafy, and full of nutrients… You guessed it…it’s SPINACH!!! This protein shake has a whole serving of veggies, and yet… guess what? It tastes amazing!!!
In fact, it tastes so good, that sometimes I have to stop and question, “Is this really good for me?” It just tastes too good to be healthy, but it totally is. That is one reason of many that I really enjoy having this Blueberry Vanilla Protein Shake for breakfast to start my day off right. I can honestly say that whenever I do, I can perceive a difference in my level of energy and just overall feeling of well being.
This Blueberry Vanilla Protein Shake makes a great low calorie meal replacement, pre of post work out shake, or sometimes I like to have it along with my lunch . I have been making this shake for quite some time now, and during that time I have tried several different types of protein shake powders. While they all tasted good, this Fit Miss Vanilla powder has definitely stolen my heart. It is very low in sugar and calories, but not lacking at all in sweetness and taste. In fact 1 scoop of this powder has almost half as many calories as most of the other protein powders I have tried. So feel free to use whatever brand of Vanilla Protein powder you want, but this is my personal recommendation.
Another reason I’m a huge fan of this Blueberry Vanilla Protein Shake, is because my 3 year old daughter is also a huge fan. Now I may or may not have lied to her the first time she tried it and told her it was ice cream, but hey…a mom’s gotta do what a mom’s gotta do. After all, it worked, right? I got her to try it once and she’s been hooked ever since. She still has no idea it’s good for her, and that’s alright. I’m totally OK with that. She can believe she is eating ice cream for as long as she wants. In fact, she was probably about 20 months old the first time I ever let her try this, and still to this day, at 3 years old, she yells out with excitement, “ICE CREAM!!!” every time she sees me mixing it up in the blender . This is every mom’s dream right? Let’s just hope it continues, and she doesn’t wise up and get to smart for her own good. It’s super nice to have an easy way to sneak in her fruit and vegetable servings unbeknownst to her.
