Every year when fall starts, I find myself loving it and hating it at the same time. I love how the leaves change colors, but that also means they will fall off soon. I have a yard with an abundance of scrub oak trees, and cleaning the leaves and acorns each fall is a tiresome job. So to make fall a little more enjoyable I love to cook and make fun recipes that take my mind off the work waiting outside. This Candy Apple Caramel Dip is one of those recipes that make me happy about fall.
I love apples, but having something yummy to dip them in is even better. This is a simple recipe, which requires no unwrapping of caramels. (another tiresome job)
- 1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. white vinegar
- ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
- Apples for dipping
- Mix all the ingredients together in small pan.
- Cook over low heat and stir until smooth.
