German Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies… MMM!
These German Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies sound as good as they taste and make for the perfect dessert or holiday treat. We like to make these around Christmas time and whip them out when we have our big family party for either Christmas Eve or Christmas day. My family likes cake and cookies, so it’s no surprise these bring a smile to their faces every single year.
German Chocolate Cookies Made With Cake Mix
That’s right! These little chocolate cookies are made with cake mix. These cookies are like little German chocolate cakes all rolled up in a cookie! One thing I love about these cookies using cake mix is the final step you do to give them the yummy center filling.
You push your finger in the middle of them after about a minute of cooling and then generously fill the center with coconut pecan frosting! Then you get to lick your fingers once your done, too. So it’s a win for everybody!

I used to make a similar recipe like this I found on the back of a Pillsbury German Chocolate Cake mix box … that recipe wanted me to add raisins…? I am not a raisin fan, but I thought that was odd cause German Chocolate Cake doesn’t have raisins. So I used to make them and would omit the raisins but would add shredded sweetened coconut. They were always very good – but I have to say I love the idea of adding the coconut pecan frosting. I am making this new recipe because I know it is going to be GREAT~! Thank you for sharing.

Just made the German Chocolate Cake mix cookie recipe, and I must say “It is wonderfulf”. I’m never a fan of cookies made with a cake mix, but this is a real “keeper”. They are soft and puffy, my favorite kind of cookies, and the flavor is just yummy. These are exceptional cookies, and a winner in my book. I’ve got a reputation for being a pretty good cook, and these rate very high in my score. I’d highly recommend this recipe to anyone, and it is so easy, also. They are easy, yummy and wonderfully soft,…. can anyone do any better than this? I sure don’t think so. Gals, turn your ovens on and get baking. Thank you so much for a great cookie recipe
