For many years this easy Sloppy Joe recipe was one that I made when I needed a quick meal that I knew would please everyone. Â I would cook up the ingredients for these sloppy joes then place it in a crock pot and turn it on low.
Don’t Make it Hard: Make it Easy Sloppy Joes
When my kids were younger, it seemed I lived in my car as a chauffeur running my kids to all their after school activities. I really do miss those days, but with that kind of busy schedule, it was nice to have dinner ready and waiting when we got home!
Sometimes I think we assume that the more complicated a recipe is the better it will taste….well I am here to testify that sometimes easy is better. Especially in a world that’s increasingly more fast-paced and demanding on our time. These sloppy joes are a perfect example!
Try This Sloppy Joe Recipe Today!
- 1½ lbs. ground beef
- ½ onion grated
- 1 can chicken gumbo soup
- ½ cup ketchup
- 3 Tablespoons brown sugar
- Salt and pepper
- 1 dash of Worcestershire
- Sauce
- Hamburger Buns
- Brown ground beef with onion, add remaining ingredients.
- Simmer on stove on low, or place into a crock pot and turn on low for 2 hours.
- Serve on buns and keep a napkin close!

Not a silly question at all. Honestly the only thing I buy it for is this sloppy joe recipe. BUt it’s campbell’s chicken gumbo soup. 🙂 Hopefully that helps
