Becky is the youngest of the Spice Gals daughters, which makes her the spunkiest of the three. 🙂 She currently lives in Syracuse, Utah with her husband Matt and new baby boy, Liam. Matt and Becky met back in 2006 (on one fateful night up at the “Howl” at USU), but Becky spent the next 7 years playing games with his heart, like any girl would. Finally in November of 2013, she decided Matt was her perfect fit and started dating him. Over the course of the next year, they fell madly in love with each other and were married in October of 2014 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  They both felt like they waited a really long time to find each other, so they feel pretty lucky they both found the perfect match. Her husband is the mastermind behind all of the website’s technical stuff and is also a co-owner of his own business, BKA Content. So in all reality, we are Sugar n’ Spice Gals with a hint of Matt.
Becky has been big into baking since she was a little girl. Her passion started with her knock off version of an Easy Bake Oven. As she got older, she would make many batches of cookies to bring to friends or to her crushes. She was given the nickname “Becky Crocker” in high school, and was called that by several boys as a way to get multiple plates of her peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. Today, she loves cooking for her husband and trying new recipes since she has an in-home taste tester. Baking will forever be her specialty, but she’s caught onto the whole cooking thing pretty quickly.
Currently, Becky is staying at home taking care of her baby. She loves spending her days seeing all the fun things that a baby can do, while watching lots of tv, exercising, and baking lots of yummy food for the blog (and I guess for her husband too). She’s currently transitioning to the whole “stay at home mom thing” after having taught elementary school for the past 5 years. She definitely misses all the fun and excitement that came from teaching, but feels that her new job is a pretty good replacement.
Becky is excited to be a part of the Sugar n’ Spice Gals and to be able to share her recipe secrets with all of you!
