I hate to tell you but there really isn’t any trick to these pancakes except that I cut them into the shape of hearts! This would be perfect to share for breakfast on Valentine’s Day, or on any other day that you might want to show someone you love them! Serve them with strawberries, or your favorite toppings. Just an idea to spice up your day!

PANCAKE HEARTS
Here is one of our favorite Pumpkin pancake recipes you could use:
Powdered sugar
Syrup
Heart cookie cutter
When making your pancakes just make sure that you make them large enough to be able to cut out a 4-6 inch heart.
Cook your pancakes. I will usually go ahead and cut the pancake on the griddle with the cookie cutter.
Top with your favorite toppings!
Simple as can be but cute!
Here are a couple of recipes that you can use for syrup that are yummy!
Strawberry Sauce
16 oz strawberries (frozen or fresh) This would be about 1 pint.
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. maple syrup
Puree strawberries to a chunky puree. Heat in a saucepan over low heat until just warm.
Stir in lemon juice and maple syrup.
(make 4 1/3 cup servings)
Simple Pancake Syrup
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 tsp. maple flavoring
In a small saucepan combine sugars and water. Bring to a boil and cook and stir for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in maple flavoring. Makes 2 cups.
