This last year my husband and I moved into a new home. It is perfect for our little family of three and has everything we could dream of having at this stage in our lives. Well with us being in a new home, my husband decided he wanted to show off our house and throw his family’s Christmas party at our house. Like I said before, the house we live in is perfect for our family of 3, but isn’t the best for entertaining large groups of people, especially since our basement isn’t finished yet and I don’t have a great play area for the kids.
Well, since I thought not everyone was going to fit and we weren’t going to have enough variety of foods for everyone, I was pleasantly surprised when the party ended up being a hit, and I was able to fit everyone in the house without too big of a fuss. I was pretty proud of myself. And I might even throw more parties at my house in the future

Raspberry Marshmallow Fluff Salad is a Party Saver
So how does that little story relate to this post? Here it is. Right before everyone got here I was running around like a crazy lady trying to finish everything up. I had bought all the ingredients for our Raspberry Fluff Jello Salad but had failed to read the directions beforehand. So as I started making the salad I realized that one big detail in the instructions was that the salad was going to need to sit over night. I mean if I had started making the salad 3 hours in advance I wouldn’t have worried so much, but I was working with 20 mins. SO I decided to go with another option and throw together several ingredients that I had in my pantry.
That, my friends, is how this Raspberry Marshmallow Fluff Salad came to be. It is so delicious and SO SO easy to make. Plus, you don’t have to worry about making it the night before.
Everyone Likes Raspberry Marshmallow Fluff!
I was totally worried nobody was going to like this salad, and had actually kept it in the fridge til my husband convinced me to pull it out and serve it. This raspberry salad ended up being the only thing on the table that night that was completely gone. I think it’s safe to say that this salad will easily be a hit at any party you serve it at!

Im going to guess that you don’t prepare the pudding as directed on the package before mixing with the yogurt. The yougurt subs for the milk..??? I’m making this tonite, sounds delish..cant wait to see how it turns out!

Do I need to ‘make’ the instant pudding? Or just put the pudding mixture in the bowl?
Sugar n' Spice Gals says
Hi Dulcie,
I just dump the powdered pudding right into the mixture. It mixes well with the cool whip. Hope it turns out tasting great.

I just made a strawberry and banana Cheesecake fluff I found on pinterest….it called for fresh raspberries but I didn’t get them because I was Too Cheap..lol..I did however get the $2 bag of frozen ones(for smoothies)! I just added some to the one I made and can’t wait to try your version…we luv raspberries and this will be a perfect healthy dessert during the week!

Hi Natasha,
I totally feel ya on the expensive fresh raspberries. They have to be having a major sale for me to buy them. But I find that the frozen raspberries almost add more juice and flavor to the recipe. So it’s a good trade off 🙂 hope it tastes amazing.

Cam this this be this be left this be left in this be left in the fridge overnight?
Sugar n' Spice Gals says
Hi April,
Yes it can. I would just wait to fold in the raspberries 30 mins before serving. Then they won’t get mushy.
Sue says
Do you put the raspberry in frozen
Sugar n' Spice Gals says
Hi Susan,
Yes I do. They actually thaw really fast and don’t get mushy in the salad. ( unless the salad has been sitting for a few days)

Made this for Easter according to directions. The yogurt made it so soft and almost runny. It looked like yogurt with raspberry sauce. If I ever make it again I will add the package of pudding to the cool whip and eliminate the yogurt. I had to throw it out.
Sugar n' Spice Gals says
Oh no. I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you. I have made it many times and have never had that happen. Maybe try using Greek yogurt next time since it’s thicker. Thanks for letting us know

Could you use fresh raspberries?
Kathy says
What can I substitute for the yogurt? Or would it still work if I leave it out? Don’t like yogurt.
Mercedes Hoffman says
Can I use can of raspberry pie filling for the frozen raspberries?

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this salad!!! We followed the instructions exactly, and used oikos vanilla Greek yogurt after reading some of the comments. I did not have any problems with it being runny. It was quick and easy to make!!! We are looking forward to sharing this yummy salad with our family this Thanksgiving.
Thank you for sharing your recipe with us!!!
