I love Chicken Cordon Bleu, but sometimes I don’t want to go to all the trouble to make it. This Chicken Cordon Bleu casserole gives me the same amazing flavor as the classic dish, but is a lot easier to put together.
Yummy Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole
This is perfect for a pot luck dish and will feed about 12 people. In my family however, since we all love it so much, it was gone with only seven of us! We seriously can’t get enough of this stuff. We love it and I can say with confidence, that you will love it, too! This is a chicken cordon bleu recipe you definitely don’t want to miss out on!

- 8 boneless chicken breasts
- 8 oz. cooked ham
- 1½ lb. Swiss cheese, grated
- ½ lb. fresh sliced mushrooms
- 6 green onions, chopped
- 2 cups bread crumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 Tbsp. butter, melted
- Spray a 9x13 casserole dish. Cover the bottom with 1 cup bread crumbs. Slice the chicken into small strips about ½ inch thick. Place ½ of the sliced chicken on top of the bread crumbs. Salt and pepper the chicken. Cover with ½ of the swiss cheese. Dice the ham in to small pieces. (I used deli ham so it was thin and easy to cut into small pieces.) Lay the ham on top of the swiss cheese, then add the mushrooms and green onions. Cover with the rest of the cheese, the rest of the chicken, salt and pepper, then the other cup of bread crumbs. Drizzle the melted butter over the top and cover with foil. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 45 minutes. Uncover the casserole and bake another 15 minutes.
- ENJOY!!
