I just love turkey dinner with stuffing, but outside of Thanksgiving I rarely have it. I never seem to have the time to cook a full blown turkey dinner on a regular work night. This crockpot turkey and dressing recipe definitely has changed my mind on that.
So with that said, this is what I absolutely love about this Slow Cooker Turkey and Stuffing recipe (aside from the fact that is INCREDIBLY delicious). Â I can actually throw all of the ingredients in the crock pot with little preparation, and then just let the crock pot do all the work!

Love this! Would be perfect for a small family Thanksgiving dinner or any time of the year when you are craving Thanksgiving, but don’t want to do all the work for it. 😉

Came out amazing! I made it with chicken instead of turkey. but so yummy!

Wondering if I can cook it on low for 7 hours rather than switching it from high? I have to work in the morning this year and won’t be back to switch it after an hour!
Heather says
I was wondering this too did they ever get back to you?
Sugar n' Spice Gals says
Hey Heather.
I have not tried doing this myself, but have looked at several other recipes that are similar to ours and it looks like cooking the turkey on low for 6-7 hours would work out just fine!
Kelly says
Did you try this? I’m wondering the same thing too!
Sugar n' Spice Gals says
Hey Kelly. Sorry it’s taken us a while to get back to you, but you can cook it on low for 6-7 hours and it would turn out just fine. I hope that this helps for the future

Turkey was delicious, however, the stuffing was very soggy.
Steph says
My husband and I call it the “sacrifice stuffing”
We always buy extra stuffing to cook on the stove top so we
Have some that’s not so soggy 🙂
Dorian Daniel says
Just put “soggy” dressing on oven to dry out alittle.
Jamie says
Are you able to do this with a 7lb turkey breast?
Patty says
Hi, I was wondering what kind of stuffing you use for this recipe? Would stovetop work?
Esmia says
Hey gals,
Could you come up with a version that doesn’t have an MSG laden turkey gravy mix? Same goes for the stuffing. MSG gives my husband headaches, not to mention it does nasty things to your brain. Thanks.

Just buy a quality turkey gravy mix. Go to Trader Joe’s or WholeFoods.

Awesome, incredible – my kids and I all LOVED it! Even without the gravy (kids would wait long enough for me to make the gravy before devouring)
Sugar n' Spice Gals says
Awesome. We love hearing when people have enjoyed our recipes. That’s hilarious about your kids. Sounds pretty similar to how my siblings and I all were when we were kids. Thanks for commenting and sharing with us 🙂

I am new to using a slow cooker and am afraid of my food being too dry or too mushy. If I omit the cranberries or celery, do I need to alter the amount of broth or butter, etc? Or do I just proceed as normal?
