Don's Stuffed Green Peppers

Serves: 4-6
  • 4-6 medium sized green peppers
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 Tbs. dried minced onions
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • optional: ½ tsp. minced garlic
  1. Cut green peppers in half, (lengthwise or just cut the top of of one) .
  2. Place each half in boiling water for about one minute and then place in a greased 9x9 pan.
  3. Mix ground beef, onions, salt and pepper, egg, ¼ cup tomato sauce and bread crumbs
  4. Stuff each green pepper half with the meat mixture.
  5. Pour the rest of the tomato sauce over the top.
  6. Cook at 375 degrees for 1 hour or till the meat is cooked through.
