Pumpkin Caramel Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients
  • Pumpkin Caramel Cinnamon Rolls
  • 1 Tbsp yeast
  • ½ cup warm water
  • ½ Cup canned pumpkin
  • ⅔ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp cinnamon
  • Caramel Frosting:
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • ¼ tsp vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl dissolve yeast in warm water. Add pumpkin, sugar, salt, egg, ¼ cup melted butter, cloves, cinnamon and mix well.
  2. Slowly add flour until it no longer sticks to sides.
  3. Put into a greased bowl and let rise until double in size. Punch down and let rest 5 more minutes.
  4. Roll out into a rectangle. Brush the dough with 2 Tbsp of butter. Mix ½ cup brown sugar and 2 Tbsp. cinnamon together and spread on top of butter. Roll dough jelly roll style starting with the long side. Pinch edges together.
  5. Cut into 12 sliced about 1 inch each.
  6. Place in a greased 9x13 pan, cover and let rise until double in size. (about 30-45 minutes)
  7. Cook at 350 degrees about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Frosting:
  9. In a small saucepan melt butter. Stir in brown sugar and milk. Cook for 1 minute. Take off heat and let cool. Stir in vanilla, salt and powdered sugar. Beat until well blended and smooth. (Add more sugar to get the desired consistency)
  10. Drizzle frosting on rolls.
